9/11 Day

The one-hour documentary follows the creation of the 9/11 DAY as a National Day of Service and Remembrance, federally recognized since 2009. Six months after the 9/11 attacks, David Paine and Jay Winuk — who had lost his brother Glenn in the collapse of the World Trade Center tower — decided that something good had to come from such an unimaginable loss. So they set out to reclaim the day. 9/11 Day began with one simple yet powerful idea: To transform the anniversary of one of the darkest days in America’s history into America’s largest day of doing good. 25 years later, they have accomplished just that.
